    Looking Ahead

The following assumes the Bills stay relatively healthy (knock on wood) for the remainder of the season.

I see the four weeks after the bye (SD, @ Miami, NYJ, @ NE) being the key to the Bills season. Going 2 -2 during that span would put them at 6 -3. They then have four games (Clev, @ KC, SF, Miami) that they should win. Based on how things They will likely be favored in all four games. That would put them at 10 - 3. Then they have three tough games (@ NYJ, @ Den, NE) to finish the season. One win in the final three puts them at 11 - 5. 11 -5 might be wishful thinking, but looks possible when I review the schedule. Could come down to NE @ Buffalo in Week 17 for the division.

    Re: Looking Ahead

Dont like to get too far ahead our ourselves.

But I"ll agree 100% that the next four games are very important for us to go no worse than 2-2. Its one of those two tough parts of our schedule (last three games being the other) and it is important for us to get to 6-3. That would set us up well for winning 3 of the next 4 against teams considered weaker on the schedule and would put us in shape to only need 1 of the last 3 to get to 10 wins and a likely playoff birth.

not saying we wont do better or worse than the projections. We can beat ANYBODY on the schedule. Unfortunately, there are very few "locks" on there as well. Just gotta play opportunistic ball, something we didnt do at Arizona.

      Re: Looking Ahead

Bye - Huge win for us.
      SD - L - I think we lose a tight one.
Phins - W - Tougher than expected, but we pull it out.
Jets - L - Again, this is a tough call, but after a feisty Phins team, we lose.
Pats - W - bounce back and wear down the old Pats D.
Browns - W - I see us playing very hard. This could be our signature game of the year, on a national stage.
Chiefs - W - No matter who they start at QB, shut down LJ. Simple.
Niners - L - Just a hunch, but they have some players.
Phins - L - Gameplanning gets the best of us and the Phins are getting better.
Jets - W - Jauron motivates the Bills, Marshawn rams the Jets D like they're fat chicks.
Broncos - L - Too much firepower for our O to compete with. They'll put up points.
Pats - W - Again, just a hunch. Could go either way.

That leaves us with a record of 10-6.

This was my attempt at a pretty unbiased series of events. I could definitely see us losing to the Pats (twice, really) and could also see us sweeping the AFC east. I would not be surprised if that happened. However, I honestly wouldnt be surprised if we struggled mightily against the AFC east tems. Id say somewhere in the middle.

I could also see us knocking off Denver, if we can limit their passing game and keep Cutler off the field.

        Re: Looking Ahead

I think winning all 4 of the "easy" games (Cle, KC, SF, Mia) will be tough. First, it's hard to win 4 games in a row in the NFL period.

Second, the Cleveland game and the Miami game are going to be high pressure situations with bigger audiences than the Bills are used to. This team struggled in those situations last year so I don't think we can count those as "gimme's".

We NEED to take 2 out of the 3 division games in the next stretch to remain in this thing.

its a nice change to be able to see the pats on the schedule and not chalk it up as an automatic loss

Healthy Trent leads us to victory more than planned, 13-3.

We lose the Jets away game and the last NE game, which means 0 and we sat all our starters / NE gets a WC game.

            2nd seed in the AFC.

What if we went 0-6 in the division? That would be bad.

Haha....No way the Fish, or even the Jests sweep us...Absolutely NO way that happens...And also we'll beat NE at least one time so I'm not too worried, it's the Chargers game that I'm worried about, especially if they lose to the Patriots....

I think the Chargers will leave absolutely everything on the field against the Patriots. Win or lose there's a good chance they'll have very little in the tank the next week against the Bills.

I like your thinking my fellow Irishman, but look at it on the other hand for a sec. A Chargers win could launch them back into contention, both physically and mentally. They then might roll into Buffalo and put a Cardinal hurting on us.

                          GO BILLS! PRACTICE HARD!

I believe that this charger game is critical... its gonna set the tone for the whole season but i believe we can pull it off. even with a loss we are still in decent shape but gatting to 5-1 i believe is very important for this team especially with last weeks loss
I feel a win streak coming and a Bills Playoff Run!!!

I still say 12-4. Broken down like this.

NFC West games - 1-0 (SF)
AFC West games - 2-1 (KC and SD at home)
                              Flex games - 1-0 (Cle)
AFC East - 4-2 (one Sweep and 2 splits)

                              Mark it down.
