-For some reason, Miller didn't look too confident early on but he was amazing in OT and the shootout.

-I guess we now know why we kept Kotalik. Not only did he have the shootout goal, but he had a solid game overall.

-They had Price scouted well for the shootout because both players beat him with the same shot.

-Lindy changed the defensive pairings early and it seems to help.

-Despite that, I already hate the Numminen/Lydman pairing. Neither finish checks (especially not Numminen) and they cannot clear the zone. They got bottled up behind the net several times.

-Sekera is still raw.

-It's good to see Vanek generating some scoring early.

-Overall the team was hitting better and playing more physically, and despite all the bad things people say about Peters, he's one of the few guys on this team who always finishes his checks.

-The power play still sucks. It actually seemed to get worse as the game went on. I thought it was interesting that during the 4 minute PP, they generated more pressure with 2 defensemen/3 forward's then the modern NHL's preferred 1 defenseman/4 forward set.

-The PK FINALLY shut down Montreal and looks to be playing better.

Yep, the PP worked about as well as the PP clock did last night.

I still want to see the Mair/Stafford/Kaleta line back.
