OK, so now that McCargo's gone, the draft?

I dont see us running with only 3 DT's on game days past this year. Its possible that the 4th DT is actually a DE/DT who comes in on passing downs. I can see that working because we no longer run a strict 1 or 3 gap DT; they are interchangeable. So, it can run as a 3 man rotation.
But Ihave to believe that we will be thinking about another DT soon.

    What about the draft?

I still think we may shy away from a DT in the 1st since we know we need a OLB (Crowell is gone) and TE is still a need.

But, if a guy like SenDerrik Marks (Auburn) drops to us, we might just have to take him.

I think we will look at rounds 3 through 5 to fill this need.

Alex Mack the Center from Cal may be the top player of need in the late first round. Hes supossed to be the best center to come out of the draft in years. We might take him and look to FA for a LB. Draft a TE in the second. Go defense Tackle in the third and fourth?

We can address the draft after the season is over and free agency has played out.

There isnt crap out there for LB's in FA by the looks, its early still.

Suggs is the best but hes really a DE or a OLB in a 3-4

I am not fond of Karlos Dansby, hes a loafer.

No, Mack is a great prospect, but he may be there in the 2nd. I agree that Fowler is likely gone (hes an UFA at the end of the year).

McCargo falied his Physical. He goes nowhere. However, he's a brokedick POS and needs to be replaced.

I guess the parameters of thought changed....

You can put it on the back burner again...focus on the games...the offseason will take care of itself.
