Were you nervous about getting stuck in the green room all day?
Definitely, to be the last guy taken, you look around, all the cameras are on me and wondering when I was going to get picked, felt like I would have gone a little bit higher, but to go to the Rams, that's just great.
I'm still trying to take it in myself. I can't tell you what it's like. I'm excited. I'm excited to be a Ram, playing with some of the greats, Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner. I'm looking forward to those guys and becoming part of the team.
What were you thinking as each defensive tackle was taken?
I was dying. But to slip down that far and get drafted by the Rams, let those guys go and on Sunday we'll see who the best
is.
Did you work out for the Rams?
I had no clue the Rams was even thinking about me until the phone rang and they said, "Hey, we're taking you."
Did Mike Martz call?
Yes. He said, "We just selected you, the 12th pick." I just tart started crying and hugging my family.
Were you aware Warren Sapp was also the 12th pick?
Don't worry about it. We'll see on Sunday, all right.
