QB rating don't mean crap.

I'd like to see Trent throw some more TD passes.

i was expecting you to throw out the 11th rated passer in 2006 comment just to ruffle some feathers.

I'd have liked to seen one more td during this game too. but his efficiency after a concussion was awesome.

Also 11 sacks is too many. The o-line needs to start blocking a little better.

Almost did. The 11th rated passer stat. was useless when acehole use to pimp JP with it, just as Trent being rated the 4th rated passer is.

I don't think Chad Pennington has ever been #8 at anything. :ill:

11 sacks in 122 pass attempts was way too many.

Hopefully the o-line can build on its pass blocking success it had against the Chargers.

He is the most accurate passer in the history of the league, so he is #1 in something.

Statements like that show your over fondness for statistics and ignorance towards what being a great QB is all about. With no running game, having an accurate and poised QB is even more important. How many 3 and outs have we had with Edwards in regards to the rest of the league? What about time of possession? What about first downs? Most importantly, what about turnovers?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Take a baseball analogy. Ryan Howard hits a bunch of home runs, but whats his batting average? How does he hit with RISP? How is his glove in the field? TD passes is often overated, ask Dan Marino, the all-time king of the 1-yard TD pass.

If the MVP of the NFL was voted for today, I’d bet anything Trent Edwards would finish in the Top Five. Name me four players in the NFL right now more valuable to their team than him?

But having said that, I do agree QB rating is overated. But I think edwards is a legit MVP candidate right now, forget about just the Pro Bowl.

Must be strictly on passers rating, I dont think hes top 10 in yards per game

Still, Its fantastic. I think last game (Cards) vs. this game proves hes our MVP.

I can't seem to locate God Favre in that top 10 list.

Ill say this right now... wheres Pat... I would take Trent over Favre right now any day of the week.

I was never fond of the thought of Favre, I made that clear.

And Favres performance yesterday just shows you what a vet will try to do at times, and thats force the ball. Yes, he had a 6 TD game, but I bet he'd even say he'd give up that huge game if it meant a win yesterday.

And then you have Trent, hes won 5 out of 6 games, and really did nothing to lose the Cards game except for get injured.

Nope, Cutler, Favre, and Derrick Anderson can take a hike, Ill stick with Trent.

I love that Trent's completion percentage is only .3% below Kurt Warner's. With Kurt having years of experience and two great possession WRs.
