I guess whatever you have to believe...

“It definitely affected our timing,” Chargers linebacker Matt Wilhelm said, “because pressuring them was a big part of our game plan.”

Without a dependable play clock, Wilhelm explained, the Chargers had difficulty disguising the blitzes they had devised for Buffalo quarterback Trent Edwards. This cost them the element of surprise – one element you won't find on the periodic table – and some of their capability to confuse.

yeah well if there was no outage then the D would've ripped Rivers head too, so it goes both ways.

the article is actually very critical of the team, despite the title. He put the loss on their fancy-shamncy passing offense, and cited their lack of a blue-collar attitude.

they time their defense to the play clock?? how is that not a distraction? What if they have a blitz called for 4 seconds and the Bills snap at 8 seconds...

total :bs:

Yes, the author of the article makes a lot more sense than the player he quoted at the start of it.

It's everyone else' fault but their own of course.

BS! That's one of those lame "coulda, shoulda, woulda" excuses that you hear from homers.

hmm, when the power came back on the first time, SD was up 7-3. so it didn't seem to effect them much. And the reason they let us score 2 more FG without the power were a result of an offensive fumble.

Our TD was scored with the power on.

We also ran one extra offensive series without the power. So if it should have crimped someone's style, it should have been ours.

the article was well written by the way and sounds like a bucky gleason type who is frustrated with the team.

it's hard to make excuses for something the other team had to deal with too.

pussies.

uh no play clock is suppose to hurt the offense. What a bunch of clowns, I used to have the Chargers as one of the teams I liked after Buffalo, now they drop down to Cowboys territory. Screw them and their lame excuse.

I can see why the lack of loud music/noise would upset the visiting team.

Lol the Chargers are pathetic. Always have an excuse when they lose.

this is the ego problem the team has.

they came into the game talking about not wanting to letdown in a "trap"game. which blatantly ignores the fact buffalo was 4-1 and they were 3-3.

what does a 500 team have any right to dismiss a division leader as a "trap" game?

that's just incredible arrogance.
