How the hell can he fail a physical in Indy, but be healthy enough to play when he's returned to the Bills. I don't understand that at all.

For the same reason that Trent was cleared to play two weeks after a concussion.

I am convinced that Indy got cold feet.

Indy probably realized that they acquired a dud so they suddenly tightened their guidelines up on their physicals so they could return him and get a refund.

McCargo may be fine to play, but if Indy is concerned about his bulging disc becoming a nagging issue in the future then why would they want to make a trade? Just because he's ok to play this week doesn't mean they're comfortable with his health long term.

i think we should investigate - maybe we could get an extra pick or something if the nfl found out they intentionally failed his physical

long shot i know, but its a weird situation.

Each team has their own guidelines or standards for physicals. You can pass or fail whoever you want. Trades are always contingent upon the team doing their own evaluation. They have every right to refuse the trade if they find something they don't like regardless of what the other team thinks.

I think McCargo didn't want to leave Buffalo so when he went in for the physical, he bent over backwards in an odd sort of way that guaranteed he would fail.....

It was widely reported that McCargo had to wait in a car outside of Colts facility waiting for the physical results - they wouldn't let him in before the final word.

WGR55 reported that. Take your own guess.
