Jets feel air of vindication after getting Robertson

    By Tom Pedulla, USA TODAY
NEW YORK — After an offseason in which the New York Jets received attention primarily for the talent they lost, they finally got their man. The Jets chose defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson, arguably the draft's hottest commodity, after they acquired the fourth pick from the Chicago Bears in exchange for their first-round selections (Nos. 13 and 22) and a fourth-rounder.

The 6-1, 317-pound Robertson is so highly regarded that the University of Kentucky junior has been called "Baby Sapp," a reference to Tampa Bay's non-stop defensive tackle Warren Sapp.

"We see similar type of qualities," Jets general manager Terry Bradway said. "He plays very hard. He is strong, quick, very active, and we like all those things about him."
