A number of NFL players -- including Deuce McAllister (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=2571) and Will Smith (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5543) of the New Orleans Saints (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nor) -- have tested positive under the NFL's steroid policy as a result of taking water pills to lose weight, according to a report from Fox 31-Denver reporter Josina Anderson.

Anderson's report cited "a rash of positive tests." The number is more than 10 and may exceed 15, two sources have told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

This seems like it could be HUGE. Upwards of 15 guys could potentially be suspended? Who knows what will happen but wow, lets hope it avoids western NY.

it's used by players to mask steroid use... and therefor are considered by the league as the same as steroid use.

"water pills" are diuretics. they make you piss like a racehorse. Ingtar explained how that's relevant to football.
