I cant take credit for this as Conuficus (http://forums.thephins.com/members/conuficus.html) is the author, just thought some might like to read a preview from the other side writen by a guy who follows the game in more then a We Will Win This Sunday Because We are AWSOME kind of thing.

I think you mean Josh Reed, not James. But great job otherwise- thorough and mostly objective- if anything, I think it was a little hard on Miami.

also Crowell is on IR.

and we have Kyle Williams at DT. Kevin Williams is on the Vikings (but I'd gladly trade Kyle for Kevin).

Well, keep in mind its being written by a guy who has a regular job and doesn't follow the Bills as closely as you guys do (obviously) he writes one of these every week and does a great job IMO, even if he misses a name now and then. :D:

overall it's a good article, but it will add to his credibility if he gets these things right. Just trying to help- consider it "constructive criticism".

VERY well written! To be honest, I wouldn't have guessed that a phin fan wrote it (except for the use of words like "our"). It's a great way to construct the article for fans that may not be as familiar with their upcoming opponent. :10:

btw, Crowell is on IR.

Just logged in to thephins for the first time and I have a PM from Con, he said to apologise for the errors. He wanted to come over and join the discussion but didn't get the registration E-Mail somehow.

I don't know if he got it straightened out by now or not.

I recognize the writers name, and it's well written.
Couple of things..

Peters has been getting consistently beaten to the outside this season. He is allowing people to get his hands down and use their speed to beat him to the edge.
This was true. He's finally getting back into his old beast form after missing all that practice & crap stalling.
We need to attack any weaknesses along the O-line and pressure Edwards into bad decisions.
That'll be tough. He doesn't make many.

Yeah, that was interesting and informative. I am wondering why Ginn isn't used to stretch the field more. Is it simply because Pennington can't stretch the field with his arm?

And dang, what are those starting receiver's names again?

If anyone wishes to talk to author - thats me. I finally got my authentication email, and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Or if you wish to rip the piece to shreds, do that too.

Arm strenght seems to be a big part of it, any throw over 20 yards seems to go right over the middle to the TE..... And still hang in the air so long that the TE gets killed after the catch.

So far.I think I'm kinda critical, and you being a Fins fan I have an even greater skepticism. For the most, part I found your article accurate and informative. You helped me pass some time on a weekend work day. You clearly know your football. Thankyou.

i don't think you'll take much abuse. It was a well written piece, and very unbiased.

I have smart ass type of humor, so don't worry I'm just poking fun. Thanks for the compliments guys. My main goal is to be as accurate as possible with these - thats why I am a little upset about the errors I made. I haven't actually don't that before. Thats what you get for typing part after being in a courtroom for most of the day.

:welcome: to the Zone Con.

I haven't lurked around phins.com (haven't had the time) - but do you archive your articles?

cnc66
10-26-2008, 10:45 AM
Yes, probably the easiest would be to search Cons "threads created" or just go back through all the pages.. you are welcome to ask for help, we have a question forum or just pm any staff, we'll help if we can.

Also, i think in one week's installment Muck had posted a link to the archive I'll see if I can find it.
