This would for sure improve our defense, he is lights out and could do wonders for Stroud. He is a lights out coordinator that was not the problem in San Diego. I am all for bringing someone back to Buffalo. Every defensive player that has ever played has said he was the best coach.....fire fewell and bring Cottrell in!!!

He was lights out when he had Lights out healthy on the field.

Otherwise he has been lights off.

This is an incredibly bad idea. Cottrell should have been out of the league 3 years ago when Minnie let him go. The game has passed him by.

His 3-4 Defense scheme requires almost exact personell which we are nowhere near having. While I have no issue bringing in a new DC (in the offseason) and changing our scheme and personell, it would be suicide to do it midseason.

We could bring in Bruce Smith, Bryce Paup, Chris Spielman, Darryl Talley, Nate Odoms, and Phil Hansen in too!

exactly. one of the worst statistical defenses in the league, with some of the most talented players. no thanks.

maybe Bruce and Phil, even at their age now, would be better than Kelsay and Shobel and Denney

Very good points, DB. I for one would love for them to bring in a new DC and get rid of Fewell, but you can't do it in midseason.
