    Kelsay

I read Jerry Sullivan’s column this morning about sacks and saw something I didn’t realize. Chris Kelsay not only has but one sack this year, but he has gotten to the QB just 4 times over the past 30 games. That is completely unacceptable. $5.75 million per year for that? Garbage, and the worst part is every tabs Schobel and Peters for criticism, but Dockery and Kelsay hardly ever get any blame laid.

This Mo’fo better get it going and going quick. Schobel is out against the Jets again. He better make some plays or that old man Favre is going to carve this secondary up.

      Re: Kelsay

We have definitely needed to draft a pass rushing DE for a few years now. This article is just further proof, particularly if we whiffed on our 3rd round pick this year - although that is not a certainty yet.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Kelsay is always the first to celebrate a great defensive play, though, because he is watching from outside the pocket...

          Re: Kelsay

Kelsay and Denney are horrible, i was at the game in Maimi they were constanly blocked and offer no pass rush move other than an outside bananna route and they are consistently steered out fo the way forming a beauftul pockey for the QB to throw in,

I am sorry but if we could get a 2nd round pick for Schobel i would trade is streaky ass too, and sign a vet and draft 2 more DEs and a DT with size
Our Dline is the major problem on the D

Denney and Kelsay are below average DEs getting paid above average money

I believe the Jets RT is hurt too...Kelsey needs to step up and force Favre into some mistakes.

I think Kelsay is what we call a pile jumper. He pretends to get in on tackles so it looks good on film and he gets praise. (in this case, he got a raise.)

Our Defensive ends SUCK!!! Why not give Ellis a shot? Why is he deactivated if Schobel is injured?

If only we could find a way to combine Kelsay and Denney into one player, than we could have 1 avg DE instead of 2 avg DEs!

I remember that very well... I hated the move.. The last two years worth of production is why. Its a double edge sword because not only did you waste the money on him, when I personally think Denney is just as good for far cheaper, but it restricts what you do in FA or the draft at the position.

He has been activated. He played last week and got a few snaps. He had some nice rushes too. He has a nice spin move ala Freeney.

I still say he makes more plays than Aaron "King of the Garbage-Time Sack" Schobel.

That being said, both have been wearing out their welcomes pretty quick.
"Miami played pretty damn good today and still got their ass kicked."

Almost everyone say's the same damn thing every year, "we need a pass rush, the d-line is a weakness"
Then we go use our premium #1 pick on a d-back. Go fiqure.
That Sully article was spot on.
