Rams running back Marshall Faulk and the mother of three of his children, Helen Dunne, are set to square off before a jury Monday on her claim that he is a domestic batterer and his claim that she is lying.

The trial is scheduled in St. Louis County Circuit Court before Presiding Judge Barbara Wallace. The case was filed last year but kept secret until recently.

Last month, Wallace ordered Faulk to provide a report on his assets and last year's income tax return to experts for Dunne's attorneys, Charles Todt and Tonya D. Fifer. The judge also told Faulk to supply the names of the mothers of his three other children.

Faulk's lawyers, Thomas J. Magee and Scott Rosenblum, allege that Dunne's claim of domestic abuse is baseless and that she is abusing the legal process by subjecting Faulk to a trial.

Both Faulk and Dunne are seeking unspecified damages from the other.

Dunne accuses Faulk in the civil action of assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She also is asking for punitive damages.

No criminal charges were filed in the case.
