Over the past few months, the Titans have talked about their desire to re-sign punter Craig Hentrich.
Now, with the NFL draft in the rear-view mirror, the team is starting to do something about it.
Titans General Manager Floyd Reese said yesterday he has started the negotiating process with Hentrich's agent, Marvin Demoff. He sent Demoff an outline for a proposal and is awaiting word back.
''I think right now we are just trying to find the ballpark that we want to be in,'' Reese said. ''We haven't honed it, but we are starting to form a deal.''
The Chiefs haven't given up on signing Hentrich yet, either. Kansas City Coach Dick Vermeil said yesterday the team remains interested and won't give up trying until he's signed. Hentrich visited Kansas City last month
