    Former NFL player jailed again

JOHNSTOWN, Pa., May 1 — Carlton Haselrig, a former Pro Bowl lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers with a history of legal trouble since his 1994 release from the team, was jailed again Thursday.
Haselrig, 37, was arrested and held in the Cambria County jail on charges stemming from an altercation with his wife at their Johnstown home.

According to police, Haselrig violated a court-order to stay away from his wife. His wife told police Haselrig assaulted her and threatened to kill her early Thursday morning.

According to The Tribune-Democrat of Johnstown, when police arrived, Haselrig refused to let go of his 1-year-old daughter. After about 1½ hours, Haselrig gave the girl to a baby sitter and surrendered to police.

Haselrig could not be reached for comment. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
