Brodeur leaves game with elbow injury

New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur left Saturday night's game against Atlanta with what the team's Web site called a bruised elbow.

The Devils led 3-0 early in the second period when Brodeur sprawled to make a save and appeared to land on his left elbow. He clutched his left arm as he left the ice and was replaced by Kevin Weekes with 6:38 gone in the second period.

how long does it take a bruise to heal? that Brodeur is not in net when the Sabres play NJ on Mon. The Sabres also own Weekes.
