If there is one thing we learned about the Buffalo Bills in the past week it's this: They are not a team lacking in confidence.

Coming off an admittedly poor performance last week, a 25-16 loss to no-longer-dormant Miami, the seemingly unfazed Bills made it a point to remind anyone who doubts them that they are 5-2, still tied for first place in the AFC East with New England, and still feeling pretty good about themselves as they reach the midpoint of the NFL season."I don't think we've lost momentum," said quarterback Trent Edwards despite the fact that his team has lost two of its last three after a red-hot 4-0 start. "I really think this is just the way the season goes sometimes. You have your highs and you have your lows."
And despite a very obvious low in Miami when the Bills blew a 16-7 third-quarter lead and committed four turnovers in the fourth quarter, there wasn't a hint of anxiety creeping into their thought process as they prepared for today's AFC East showdown with the New York Jets at sold-out Ralph Wilson Stadium.
"I think we're still very confident," said wide receiver Lee Evans.

"We still have a tremendous amount of confidence in what we can do and if we play well and if we play consistently for a whole game, we'll be in the game with anybody."
The Bills are certainly going to need to find that consistent game-long performance if they hope to defeat the improved Jets, whom they have defeated in three consecutive games.
With Brett Favre at quarterback the Jets (4-3) have already matched their victory total from a year ago and trail the Bills and Patriots by a single game in the standings.
There are tipping points in every season, and this is one for the Bills as they fully understand that a loss today would drop them to 0-2 in the division with a daunting visit to New England on tap next week. All of a sudden, that 4-0 start would seem like a lifetime ago.
Yet throughout the practice week there was calm in the locker room, a teamwide faith that they can get back the mojo that they clearly had in September.
"We understand that the stakes are high for both teams and we just want to be victorious," said strong safety Donte Whitner. "We understand, we've been in a lot of big games, a lot of pressure games, and this is no different."
