Thanks shelby... But aren't we missing a few weeks in the totals? After 9 weeks, top scores should be in the 80's or 90's by now.

Fine, I'll go with 49ers since they're coming off their bye, are extremely desperate for a win, and the Cards may overlook them as an easy win.

I'm protesting the 9.5 part if that's how many points they have to win by. I don't gamble, so I'm not sure about all that crap..and I don't know what (pickem) beside a team means, either...

New Orleans @ Atlanta (pickem)

:idunno:

p.s. It won't let me edit my original post.

Hey, doesn't draz have to overcome a handicap like his one-hour waiting time on the trivia questions?
j/k

Denver at Cleveland - I obviously get a zero on that one.
Forgot to reply before Thursday night, I'm used to doing this on the weekend.

Edit - just realized this is straight up and not against the spread
No upset picks this time around.

so straight up = 1 point per win, correct? I never did get that answer, or what (pickem) beside the name means. :idunno:

Straight up means you simply need to pick the winner.

The odds / line was included only as a point of reference, but is not being used as part of the picks in this game/thread.

If the picks were against the spread (ATS), then you would add points to a team's score when you see something such as "+5" or subtract points from a team's score when you see something such as "-5". "Pickem" or "pick" means that you are adding or subtracting zero points when picking ATS.

If this were an ATS game then what you would do would add four points to the Bills score (or subtract four points from the Patriots score.) For example, if New England wins 23-20, the Bills win against the spread since the line is Buffalo +4.

Hope that helps.

Edit: each of the 14 games counts for one win/point in your record. However, if you correctly pick one of the three underdogs to win: the Bills, 49ers, or Raiders - that correct pick counts double, for two points in your final weekly score. You can only designate one of those as your 'upset' pick to count as two, and if you prefer you don't have to pick any 'upset' team.

Holy crap! 49ers are playing their hearts out! Ari better come up with some really good half time adjustments.

question..do I get the 1 point for the win plus the 2 points for the upset if SF pulls it off?

11 points?
