Better question...Why the hell is Teppo on it???I would go so far as to say Derek Roy as well. 2 goals and 4 assists isn't exactly blowing anybody away.

Name recognition. He's been around so long that anyone who pays even the slightest bit of attention to the NHL knows his name.

To be fair, though, I think he has been playing well this year- certainly better than he did two years ago before he went out with the surgery. I don't think he deserves to go to the All-star game, but he is helping the team.

because the all star game has nothing to do with recognizing the players that are having the best year anymore. otherwise, the ballot wouldn't come out only 10 games into the season. i don't know why they think fans need so long to vote. it really takes away from the all star game IMO
