Spikes feels energized and excited about season!!
First Thoughts
"I'm very excited. I told some of my teammates in the locker room just picking up my helmet and just looking at it, it sure looks different, different than the orange and black. I'm excited to be here and the first couple of days went by well. Everybody is jelling together so I'm looking forward to the season."
Changing Scenes
"I needed the change. I feel so energized. I've never been excited about football (this much) since my second year in the league. I told coach (Dick) LeBeau the same thing. I'm just happy to be here."
Excitement
"Everybody is (hungry). No egos, everybody wants to get better, everybody wants to win. I think that right there alone will take you over the top. We've got the whole core nucleus of guys here and next week will be even better. As long as we continue to get better week in and week out I don't see really anybody stopping us if we put our mind to it."
