So i was at the game yesterday. Surprisingly I had seen quite a lot of bills fans there. Now i only had some standing room tickets so i was behind this section of people but i was in the front and could see quite well. I was cheering on the bills very loud and people kept looking back at me with dirty looks. And it just started with that. Then early in the second people started to get annoyed. I was just saying like GO BUFFALO of GO DEFENSE just normal things like that. Then on one 4th down play i was like THATS ANOTHER PATRIOT 4THHHHHHHHH DOWN. And everyone just looked at me pissed. Then on a bills 3rd down they all stood up and i couldn't see, but i could see the tv. The bills converted and i immmidielty started yelling " What happpen i missed it..did they get the first down..was it a good catch???" Then one guy started talking about last year. so i casually mention the giants game. And he says to me " yah you musta cried during those 4 super bowls too!" and i replied..Hey jack$%@ i did cry during those Superbowl..not because they lost..but because i was 2 years old!"(im only 20) .

But the point is..patriot fans are soooo bad at being fans. They let a bills fan come into there house..lose the game..and still let me just shut them up and piss them off. The stadium was so quiet the fans were so unknowledgeable. There comebacks were so bad. I was in section 218.

Did anyone else notice how bad the crowd was at the game?

that is every stadium that i have ever been in..

i went to see the philly vs. bufalo game last year (final game of the regular season).

the philly fans were scarey.

i was in the pisser (wearing a snowboarding jacket that covered my jersey since it was snowing) and there was a guy taking a leak with a Pos jersey on. you would think that as a penn state guy, he would get a little love, but every guy that walked passed him while he was pissing shoved him in the back. pretty uncomfortable.

so then an eagles fan comes out of the stall with a bills fan waiting to go in.. the philly fan screams right in his face " I PISSED ON THE SEAT BECAUSE I KNOW YOU BILLS FANS SIT DOWN TO PEE".

I saw the guy again with the Pos jersey on during the 3rd quarter.. he was being escorted out of the stadium along with 2 eagles fans for fighting.. and the bills fan took the worst of it for sure.

pretty brutal place.

The stadium was very, very quiet throughout the game. That's what happens when you price tickets outside the reach of the common fan though, you get a bunch of yuppies who are there to show face and have no clue what's going on down on the field.

While Miami tickets are almost free, the fans there are surprisingly clueless as well. The crowd was making noise when their offense was on our side of the field....I commented on it during the game and got a couple puzzled looks....they were cheering things that were negatives for their team with no clue...it was painful, and not only because of how bad the Bills were.

Why would a Bills fan talk smack to Pats fans?

Yah that was one of the worst crowds i ever seen. My high school had better crowds then yesterdays game.

A Pats fan I know tells me their current stadium/crowd is very disappointing. Apparently it was built with no PSLs and no public funding, resulting in very high ticket prices. That in turn has priced many of the louder, better fans out of attendance and they've been replaced with what he refers to as the 'wine and cheese' crowd of yuppies who are there only because it's currently the fashionable thing to do and talk about at the office on Monday morning. He also says that once Brady was injured a lot of tickets went up for sale, making more tickets available to opposing fans such as yourself and resulting in even less home team fans to make noise.

In addition he said the structure of the stadium doesn't hold what little sound there is in very well either - did you find that to be true?

Unfortunately I can see this becoming a trend around the entire NFL as ticket prices continue to rise. More and more seats will be purchased by businesses that will write off the cost as an expense, and more and more hard core fans will be forced to watch games on TV rather than live.

Miami games I have been to seem to usually be close to 50-50 home and away fans. But I will say they have the best 'scenery' of any stadium I've been to.

so, your proudest moment as a Bills fan was mouthing off to some drunken Pats fans as their team bent us over and stuck it to us yet again?

This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say Bills fans have lowered expectations. A fan's proudest moment should be when his team actually WINS something.

Yes. It's too open. And you don't want to get in the top section of seats because the players look like this -> .

Well op being born in 1988 i have not seen the bills WIN many things. Am i suppose to be proud of the music city miracle? I am proud because i did my part as a fan. I quieted down that section of the crowd. I cannot help the bills win. I do not control what they do on the field. But If i can quiet the crowd down its the best i can do to help the bills. Then again you would not know what cheering for the bills feels like.

everyone in this thread- and even the TV announcers- have been talking about how quiet the stadium is. Now you're taking credit for silencing the crowd? Get a grip.
