Tim Connolly is out for the game. I wouldn't be surprise if that is it for old Timmy. Too bad really, he is a good player.

It's not bad luck, he's a product of his own stupidity. He plays the game a lot with his head down and for a guy who can't take a hit, this is a bad thing to do.

Sad thing is he saw the hit coming and still put his head down. He will never learn...

The Connolly hit was a solid check there is nothing he could have done there

If his head is up, it doesn't happen.

I'm not saying this to make it seem like I know more about the game, so please don't take it that way. However, I played the game and even if you see it with little time to move, you can get out of the way enough not to take the brunt of it. I've been drilled when I had my head down and I've also been able to see it coming at the last minute...it makes a difference.

I hear you!
Wait I ran downstairs to get a drink for a minute. Connolly left the game?

Yes, played one more shift on the PP and went to the dressing room. It was because of the hit.

Please not another concussion.

Please not another concussion.

If it is, they HAVE to bring a creative offensive player up from Portland and in my opinion that would be Gerbe. Tim brings creativity to the game that not too many guys have and I believe you need that kind of player to take his place. We will see.

I wouldn't mind little Gerbs but I bet it is Mancari

Please, NO! The kid cannot skate...he seems to have a scoring touch, but his skating is pretty bad.

I am just saying they are hyping Mancari

Dr. Lecter
11-12-2008, 09:48 PM
Be careful saying that about him, I have before and people get *****y.

This might be a good time for Gerbe, although his defense is still lacking. He can get some PT and if he struggles, he can be scratched.

I don't hate Mancari. He didn't impress me at all last time he was up. They haven't mentioned Connolly at all maybe it was nothing major

No, but has Stafford really impressed you this year? Having him sit to get his head straight isn't a bad thing.

No but I he has played well in the past. Stafford will be a good player get him back out there.

He'll definitely be good, he just has to want to be good. He's one of those talented players that lacks the drive to be great. That s**t always drove me nuts when I was playing sports! The most talented players were always the ones who the least internal motivation...what a waste!

Dr. Lecter

Bucky Gleason addressed this today. Basically it depends on whom they are replacing.

Mancari would get the call for Gaustad, Kotalik, etc. Gerbe for Max or Pominville, etc.

He actually talked about Kennedy for Timmy since Kennedy is playing center right now.
