Listening to the radio broadcast and hearing something to the effect of "Vanek fans on the open net" or "Vanek shoots it wide- he had nothing but goal in front of him!"
I know it's tough to evaluate without actually seeing the game, but it goes something like this"
RJ: Now here come the Sabres VANEK AND ROY OVER THE LINE (voice gets progessively louder)
Crowd: RRRRRAHHAAHAHHHHAHHHH!!!!!
RJ: Now Roy over to Vanek and OHHHHHH
Crowd: Awwwww!
RJ: He shot it wide of an open net!
