Can someone tell me again what this front office saw in this guy? Derek Fine has played better in one game than Royal has played in all of the years he has been with us and which move cost us more cap room? Sad! I'm exagerating a bit but for real...Royal sucks the bag! I'd like to see us cut him and save some cap space hopefully because no one would want to trade for his production.

watching robert royal makes me feel like how i felt after Ronnie Harmon dropped that touchdown vs the browns in the playoffs.
after that game, i was so nervous on every single toss to harmon the following season. i think he was only with us one more year after that. But still, it was a long year. he also fumbled a lot prior to that play if i remember correctly.Comment

I have to laugh at all those who were so pissed about drafting Fine.
He has looked good for a rookie out in the routes. Not sure about this blocking because the rest of the OL has looked so bad its hard to single out what he has done.

What they front office saw was a good run blocking TE, who was a backup in Washington who might be able to contribute more as a starter here. I'm guessing in hopes to unearth a Pete Metzelaars type but alas it didn't work. Though I can't say I'm a Royal hater as thing he gets a bad deal as some fans were expecting a lot more out of him then was warranted.Comment

I'm not sure what so many of you unrealistic people were expecting out of Royal. In Washington he was well known for his abilities as a run blocker but was never considered a threat via the passing game.Comment
