Will the NHL survive the depression?

Serious question.. I just don't know how they'll do it unless players accept salary cuts.

Things will be fine assuming the cap doesn't keep going up year after year.

I see another lock out after the Olympics.

For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

the NHL is in trouble anyway. Player salaries are the largest single expense for the owners and they're increasing far more than the revenue. It's like no one learned anything from the lockout.

Without better TV contracts like the NFL and NBA have, the NHL won't be able to keep up.

I think Op has a good point. NFL revenues are pretty much guaranteed. Hell, an owner in that league can make money without even fielding a team.
