New York Jets 34 / New England 31
Winners: Thomas Jones (NYJ) and the Jets running backs are so crucial to the success of Brett Favre. Jones played a huge part in the 40 minutes of ball control, with 30 carries for 104 yards and a score. You have to be impressed with Matt Cassel (NE) as well. This kid is going to get paid.
Loser: Patriot Running backs. The combo of Faulk, Morris, Green-Ellis and Evans only carried the ball 17 times for 63 yards. Asking Cassel to throw 51 times is too much, he stepped up this week, but asking a QB with his experience to throw 51x isn’t going to lead to success often.

Denver 24 / Atlanta 20
Winner: Peyton Hillis (DEN) is a 7th round pick from Arkansas. He’s also the latest in the line of many faces to carry the ball for Denver this season. Hillis averaged 4.4YPC and scored twice on only ten carries.
Loser: Roddy White (ATL) had a heck of a game there’s no question. His dropped pass in the final seconds of the game cost Atlanta the win, he’s got to be on the hook for that.

Indianapolis 33 / Houston 27
Winner: Joseph Addai (IND) returned to form for the first time in a long while. On the ground he took the rock 22 times for 105 yards and a score. Addai chipped in the passing game as well with four grabs for 48 yards and a score.
Loser: Andre Johnson (HOU). No Bob Sanders, No Marlin Jackson and still no Andre Johnson? Johnson should’ve tee’d off on this beat up Colts secondary.
