HOUSTON -- Houston Texans free safety Ramon Walker was arrested for public intoxication and trespass for refusing to leave a Houston dance club.

Both charges are misdemeanors, and Walker was released from jail after posting bond Saturday, police spokesman Sandra Aponte said.

Texans spokesman Tony Wyllie said the team was still trying to find out what happened.

"We're not going to comment until we get further details," Wyllie said.

Walker was drafted in 2002 by the Texans from the University of Pittsburgh. He played in nine games last season, starting one, but was slowed by knee and ankle injuries.
