View Full Version : Would you say this is darkest Bills season ever?

That was a pretty bad year, but if you really look at it, we beat teams that were hurt, won a couple at home when we should. If we had a tougher schedule eariler, I think the record would be worse and heading towards 2-14
or 3-13. :(

It is depressing, but not the darkest.

It seems more depressing because of the 4-0 start and because this is the 10th (I think) straight season without the playoffs.

If you had told me in the beginning of the year that NE would lose Tom Brady and going into Week 12 the Bills would be 5-5 and only 2 games out I'd be pretty happy. But that 5-1 start has me ruined right now.

Not even close to the darkest. The worst I can remember is the year they started the season by destroying New England, and I think beating Jax on the road. I believe they started that year 4-1 (I could be wrong), and went on to a 6-10 record. That was one of the most underachieving Bills' seasons I can remember. The 2-14 season you knew the team was garbage before the season even started.

I hat to call myself Nostradomus, but i seen this **** coming when we promoted form within at the GM and offenzive Cordinator position when we have done nothing but lose for 8yrs and also hiring a coach with a career Losing record
I said it the day we signed him on here he was a loser and that he woiuld never coach us to the playoffs
Darkest Day maybe not, but man if i seen this coming a mile away Detriot and Chicago both had websites about firing DJ and he was hated in both places before coming here by the fan base
Players luv to play for him cause he runs a pussy camp hence all the injuries the last 3 yrs there is no bad luck there sorry
Also they luv playing for him cause he nevers yells at them or holds them accountable for there actions he has no passion for the game and neither does Brandon Fewell or loser Turk
Spend some money on the coaching staff ralphy stop shopping at the dollar store and stop giving out extensions and contracts to players that dont deserve them,
Royal
Reed
Denney
K Williams
Butler
Roscoe
Fowler
Dockery
kelsay
all making money they dont deserve
and get a guy in here other than ******* Guy who was a tom Donhoue hold over as well as Modrak who has whiffed alot more than he hit a base hit with our draft picks
can anyone justify how u dont take Ngata over Whitner who is no where near the playmaker he is suppossed to be, or trading up for McCargo and not taking Mangold geeezzzzzzzzzzzzz

Most disappointing? Quite possibly.

1984 and 1985 never existed. Neither did 1968 or 1969.

I had high hopes with the player additions, but they came crashing down faster than the Dow Jones.

I wasn't around for those seasons in the 70's so I'll just ask the experts...Were the Bills supposed to go to the playoffs that season? Did they start out 4-0 in any of those seasons? Did they go from first place to last place in the span of 1 month?

There is a reason why RW will never be in the HOF. He is a meddler and the reason why this team never wins long term. He got lucky with Polian. If Terry Bledsoe doesn't take ill the glory years never happen.

When I've seen the signs that this team isn't a "#3 power ranking" team and they let me down in the middle of the season...I can't say I'm completely surprised.

Blow up da Raidahs 51-3 and then lay an egg in the Super Bowl - THAT WAS DARK(!) and I still think about it occasionally 20 years after the fact. My hopes are up every year and I still have this thought in the back of my head about winning out, even though I know it's not realistic.

It's gonna take 5 more losses to rank this season up there with some of the really bad ones.....

bugbub, what is your problem with Reed?

Not so much a problem with him but the money he makes, he is our tight end in this offense i understand that but he is being grossly overpaid for not scoring in 2 years and also gets hurt for stretchs every year, also contrbuted to our terrible offenses the last 6 yrs

Josh Reed is the best WR on this team, period.

No, top to bottom, all things considered, Josh Reed is the best WR this team has to offer. There's a lot more to being a good WR than just catching a deep ball every five games.

Josh Reed is a lot better at reading zones and finding soft spots then any WR on this roster and that includes Evans.

No team is 0-4 either in the big game either.

We are good like that....

Can't call this one the darkest ever. I thought 2001 was much more depressing. 2000 was pretty depressing as well given the talent we had on that team. And the mid-80's were truly the dark ages. This team isn't really good enough to get that excited over.

I think the most depressing thing about this season is that it really appeared that we had finally found our "franchise" quarterback, only to watch him transform overnight into a highlight tape from the worst of the Johnson, Bledsoe, and Losman eras. That's the dark shadow over this season.
