THAT was the effort we need. I couldn't believe what i was seeing...we had people electing to dump it in off the boards rather then cut to the middle. Our defense was playing physical, and lord knows how long it's been since we've seen that. Lydman in particular was great. The puck will start going in if we keep playing like that. The only thing i really hated was the second goal that Miller gave up. You cannot give that kind of goal up when you're team is knocking on the door to tie it up. He went down into the butterfly way to early.

It was in the butter fly before the guy even had the puck but I have agree with this assessment. For the most part the Sabres should have won that game and had more chances than the Flyers for sure. Now let's see them give the same effort tonight...and play for 60 minutes.
