lol, truer words have never been spoken. Poor guy I was sitting next to at the bar was a Chiefs fan, he was hoping that we scored atleast 60 points on them so Herm would get canned!! AHAHAHA!!

We batter the 49ers. Some people get over-excited. We then finish the season 1-3 and end up with an 8-8 season.

it's called "realism", not "pessimism."

The truth is we can only play the teams on the schedule, and today we got a team that was in complete disarray. We beat the crap out of them, but this team has yet to beat anyone with a winning record. And 4 of our remaining 5 games are against teams with winning records. This win is more of the same for the Bills. So, go ahead and enjoy an almost- record point total for the moment- just don't get your hopes up and think it puts us back in playoff position.

Who's a pessimist?

For most of the year I've been saying the Bills will make the playoffs, but the combination of the last 4 weeks and the poor defensive showing today means that I see more evidence of an 8-8 team golfing in January than a 10-6 team sneaking into the playoffs.

that's why it's called "realism".

Which can't apply to someone who for most of the season believed that the Bills would make the playoffs.

Weighing up the evidence and deciding that we're not quite good enough to make the playoffs is different than saying "Oh no everybody's awful, the Bills suck!"

I don't imagine anyone is such a fool as to think we're on our way to the Super Bowl, but when you lose four games in a row, it starts wear on the minds of players and coaches alike. The value of even beating even a team in disarray is it is a win, and it can break the pattern of little mental things that players may subconsciously do to themselves that tend to perpetuate the losing. I think the odds are that the Bills will be able to play a little better next week than they would have had they lost today.

What's next? 5 more games.

DAMN...we lose 4 in a row and people are pissed. We win one big, and people are pissed. We didn't win this one big enough? What the **** are we supposed to do?

I've been a Bills fan for over 45 years. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to savor a win because of the CRAP this team put up over the past month.

I don't want to hear ANY negative crap over the next week, or the :negrep: is gonna fly....

If anybody says that, they ARE a fool in DENIAL.

I'm just happy to see a win. We haven't seen one of those in a MONTH.

we would actually have something to be optimistic about had we beated crappy Cleveland, at home, on Monday Night Football. Give it a rests optimist you've been exposed for your short term vision.

If Lindell makes the kick last week the Bills would be sitting at 7-4.

I disagree TD.

I think if Lindell makes it, Quin moves them into FG position with the remaining 42 seconds.

He was on fire last Monday.

I think we still lose, just as we did to Dallas the year before.
