Be creative for the amusement of readers.

I just worry that DJ keeps his job and sticks to his, "we need more DB's and safeties" and leaves the DE/LB/OL positions thin, yet again.

Or maybe just have another Ketel One.

I'll guarantee you that sometime during the draft they will draft a cornerback.

Most likely between rounds 5-7.

Depth pick.

why is everyone a depth pick, yet we have no depth as the season wears on? This is getting frustrated. if we pick a corner in the top 4 rounds, i will announce my eligibility for the 2010 draft as a cornerback hoping that i can squeak in for more depth.

It depends on which DB we're talking about here.

if it is in the first round i will start to wonder how long Terrance McGee will be on the team.

If they draft me, at least we'll know the 2010 Draft will be better.

Shrug and just remind myself that it's pretty typical.

It's hard to want to kick anyone's ass because the Bills don't have a real GM so you really don't know who to blame.

Would anybody really be that pissed off if we took Myron Rolle, the FS from FSU? Ko Simpson has been horrible this year.

Not be surprised because our loser franchise keeps acting and performing like a loser franchise.

I would be, he's not a 1st Round talent.

That would be like take Taylor Mays.

Take a dump in a box and send it to Ralph with a note saying here i think you left your brains somewhere. Thought maybe you could use them at some point in time.

Shoot, if we got him in the 2nd, even better. He would fit in well on our team, he is very smart and high character, and a playmaker to say the least. It would be nice have somebody with ball skills at S for a change.

He needs to stay in school he is not ready for the NFL yet. He needs better play recognition skills and to improve his coverage abilities.

what does doing a Richard Pryor impression have to do with the Bills?

but back on topic- if that does happen, we might as well just accept the fact that we're the next Detroit Lions because that's where this team is headed.

If they lose Greer or McGee and take a CB late, I really won't care.

yeah late rounds are irrelevant. It's the first 3 rounds that would make it Detroit- like.

Drafts are won between rounds 4 and 7, :op: knows that.

In terms of this discussion, they are. Late rounds, you pretty much go BPA unless you're desperate. The only way CB would be a stupid late round pick is if there was a quality OL/LB/TE available and the Bills reached on a CB.

yes and no- assuming rounds 1 to 3 are good picks, finding the gems in the later rounds is what puts a team over the edge. However, good late round picks following poor/mediocre early round picks won't get the job done. The Bills are the perfect example.

He's no Al Davis so I don't think the Bills' braintrust would be this stupid.

Our biggest offseason priorities should be C, DE, and FS.

PECKERWOOD

Yeah, but with Greer most likely gone, why would it be such a bad idea? DB is one position you don't want to be thin at, especially in the Cover 2. Youboty has shown flashes but he hasn't shown that he can stay healthy. Corner looks decent, but nothing I would hang my hat on. FS obviously is a much greater priority than CB but it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a player who could possibly play both positions. C, DE, FS, CB are all needs, IMO. Depending on how well Fine continues to play, then TE may or may not be a need for next year. I like Royal, he plays with alot of heart and probably doesn't get enough credit that he should. His hands are suspect, he isn't that fast but he sure as hell is a load to bring down when he gets the ball.
