TAMPA - For many of the newcomers who participated in Bucs minicamp this weekend, the goal was simply to figure out how to get from the locker room to the weight room and then to the bathroom.
Not so for projected starting center John Wade.

Saddled with what was probably the toughest and most important job of any player in camp, Wade was hoping to walk away Sunday with the ability to fully navigate his way through the offense.

It didn't happen.

Wade walked away with a good working knowledge of the system, but not good enough. For that, he'll need the rest of the off- season and a good chunk of training camp.

But if learning the offense and the line calls that make it run smoothly takes any more time than that, the offense could stumble out of the blocks this season. That's why the pressure was on Wade this weekend
