Why can't Ralph pay a boatload of money for a good coach that get's along with him?

Instead of overpaying crappy to mediocre players? I bet Singletary would put a fire under them. Wishful thinking.

I don't know if you can call Singletery a "good coach" yet. He's got a long way to go...

Ralph's saving his money for a rainy day - in Hell.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

"Why can't Ralph pay a boatload of money"

That's a question that answers itself.

you answered your own question- "boatload of money." Ralph apparently thinks he gets to take it with him when he croaks.

As far as Singletary, I like his passion but he still has a lot to prove. Beating the Bills doesn't impress me.

maybe it's an anomaly but some of the current 1st year coaches weren't "name" coaches but they've been having some pretty good success

Because he is a cheap ass bastard who doesn't give a crap whether his team wins or not, and couldn't care less whether the fans in the Buffalo area get a halfway decent product or not.

How about such high paid guys from the past few years like Mike Nolan, The last 2 Atlanta coaches, Parcells in Dallas, Norv Turner, Marvin Lewis, The NO coach .......

Both were excellent coaches with their previous teams, both were also about as well known as one can get without being an HC. They didn't just come out of nowhere.

Of all the coaches you just named Parcells is probably the only one who would be considered "high paid."
