Good news if you're Atlanta and Carolina, both teams play the Saints in the next couple of weeks.

Great news for the Falcons!!
Damn, not so fast I suppose:

A representative for one of the six players suspended Tuesday told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that an injunction will be filed in a U.S. District Court Wednesday morning in an attempt to keep the suspended players active for the rest of the 2008 season. ESPN's John Clayton hinted that Pat Williams was the player seeking the injunction. NFL Network's Adam Schefter also raised the possibility that all six players will appeal, but it remains unclear if the players would be allowed to continue to play.

The Vikes will have a big hole right up the middle to get run on.

Anything new on Pat William's injunction?

Vikings signed former first round pick Jimmy Kennedy today, I imagine that they think Williams is done or they wouldn't be bringing in DT's from FA.

Yesterday I heard that the two Williams got their suspensions blocked, but it was still unclear if they will play this week.

Well, cancel all of this, new story:

Vikings DTs Pat and Kevin Williams have reportedly been granted a temporary restraining order against the NFL from a judge that may allow their four-game suspensions to be delayed.
The judge called this one of the most difficult rulings he's ever made, and reinstated the Williamses to practice only because "he's not familiar with the situation" between them and the league. The NFL asked for an immediate hearing, but the judge refused because he's tied up until December 10. That means the Williamses have a real chance to play on December 7 against Detroit. Stay tuned, but this would be awful news for Kevin Smith's matchup.

The NFLPA will file a lawsuit Thursday to overturn all suspensions issued Tuesday by the league for any player who took StarCaps. This lawsuit could eventually be combined with the temporary "restraining order" Vikings DTs Pat and Kevin Williams were granted Wednesday that may allow the Williamses to play in Week 14. The NFLPA case would also include the three suspended Saints. A ruling could be made by Friday.
