    Why wait, fire now

Why not just fire Jauron now? Promote April to head coach for the interim basis. See how he does.

Jauron has pretty much lost the team. They are 1-5 in the last 6, so it is likely that some of them have given up some hope. He also thinks we should rest Marshawn (for the next coach?), states that it is hard to score in the red zone because there is little space and the same amount of defenders (really?!?!? who knew), and argues that trent plays well in poor weather while giving examples of giants and browns last year. He has obviously at least lost himself.

It won't hurt to have April at head coach. Special teams has been the only consistently successful part of the team. He is the opposite of Jauron (see emotions). Not to mention who doesn't want to see moorman lined up at wr.

Also its not like Ralph is going to spend a lot of money on a coach. That has never happened. He only cares about profit not about winning. There is zero chance that he will spend the money on someone high profile like Cohwer. There is also a slim chance of him giving him control of personnel as well, which is what he wants.

    FIRE DICK. Promote April!

Because you leave no chance for the rest of the season.

I do like giving April a shot to show he can be a HC, like a trial period.

But we are still technically in it, Jauron should get a full and fair chance.

      Besides, whats the hurry?

You are right. We are still in it and the problem is everyone on our team loves Jauron so it would do a opposite effect if we get rid of him.

If it would do the opposite, then let's do it! I mean, the opposite of playing bad is playing good! Stop with this crap that the players love him because from the sound of some of the post game comments, it isn't all rosy in that locker room.

Is see a significant difference between a non-rosy locker room and a hate for Jauron.

The opposite of what it would normally do. Jauron is known to be a team coach, the players respect him and everyone is always talking about how he is one of the player coaches.

                  The season's over.

10-6 won't happen and even if it did, it still wouldn't make the playoffs.

If you plan on going a different direction, why not just fire Jauron now, send a message to the players that mediocrity and coming across as "not caring" isn't gonna cut it around. Make some one accountable for what's going on.

It might send a message and set the tone for the upcoming season.

Even if the players do like jauron, which doesn't seem that evident. Edwards refuses to take any blame he just blames it on the coaching and game planning etc. It's not like they don't like April. Everyone on special teams plays hard for him.

                        Re: Why wait, fire now

Technically we are still in it.

Realistically, we are not. We have to play 3 teams that already beat us once, plus take a west coast trip (almost) to play bipolar Denver, which is completely unpredictable.

So the "we're still in it" logic has nothing to do with it.

I highly doubt Jauron will get fired mid season. First, if he was, they would have done it on Monday so April or whoever the interim guy is had a full week to prepare. Second, there are larger politics at play here. This is the week before the Toronto game. They want people to concentrate on the new arrangement and the division rivalry. They don't want two countries full of sports media to be talking about the Bills struggling and canning the coach. If he does get fired mid-season, there is no way in hell it was going to happen before this Toronto game. There is too much money on the line.
