I think Isaac Bruce brought him back down to earth last week.

McKelvin is looking like the real deal. Hardy's the one that concerns me.

Same here. But it's hard to tell what he can do when they never throw the ball his way.

It's too early to pass judgement guys, there aren't many receivers that excel in year 1.

Too late. Ever seen him pounding his own chest after a long return?

He has a long way to go but he is well deserving of this award. He looked very good for a guy who hadn't played much to this point in the season. Hopefully he can keep it up and continue improving.

Too late. Ever seen him pounding his own chest after a long return?I actually like to see that. Confidence is actually a good thing when playing. A huge thing.

Had a very good month defensively but has some things to learn still.

Hardy has been getting open, I think part of the issue is the QB.

Hardy has been very open at times, sometimes right in front of my seat. And they don't always use him wisely. Why was the pass inside the 5 intended for Roscoe and not Hardy????? It was a simple route.

McKelvin has made major strides in the last month. Almost like a little bulb turn on inside his head. He still has to learn, but now looks like a very good rookie and CB is a place rookies get burnt at times.

Part QB, part knowing the offense. His issue hasn't been getting open. It's been running the correct routes and such.

A perfect example was last Sunday. We had to burn out a timeout because Hardy was on the wrong side of the field.

On McKelvin...

. . . One week after a breakout performance, cornerback Leodis McKelvin saw the other side of life for a rookie.
McKelvin, who returned one of two interceptions for a touchdown at Kansas City, was beaten on a 12-yard touchdown by 49ers wide receiver Isaac Bruce. McKelvin also was charged with defensive holding and pass interference penalties on two third-down plays.
"The referee made the call," McKelvin said. "I was just being physical and just trying to do my job. You've got to live with it."
Bruce's touchdown was a case of the rookie getting schooled by a cagey 15-year veteran.
"I was overplaying him for the slant," McKelvin said. "All week long [the scout team] ran that same move on Terrence McGee during practice that they ran on me. I broke on it to the inside and [Bruce] made a move and went outside. Everybody's going to get something caught on them on one play or another. That's not going to stop my aggressiveness."

My main concern with Hardy is that when the ball has been thrown his way, he has played small and not very aggressively.

His TD returns put more spotlight on him.

His TD returns put more spotlight on him.

Actually his improvement in his defensive play is what won him this award not his KR return ability. Two INT's for a game, one a pick six gets a lot of attention. He did struggle v. Bruce last week but has showed vast improvement over what happened in the SD game.

It still helps to get his name out there.

Also I was referring to his returns on both Special teams and Defense.

Which is where you are wrong because his ST play had nothing to do with this award.

No crap. His ST play still helps get his name out there though.

I agree with this, without his great ST play his few great defensive plays might not get as much attention as they did.

We all know Hardy doesn't have "speed" but he doesn't know how to use leverage, hands, and hips to get open. Plus, he has bad hands for a possession receiver.

Man this sounds like a broken record. :(

Wow, even some small ass city like Buffalo can have a player that is performing in the NFL?

Just goes to show you, football is football. We need to shake off the loser's mentality, have faith, we can still win it all.
