All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

It's amazing how quickly we think TE is terrible and needs to be replaced...give the guy a break...he's technically only been a starter for a year...check out the stats on this third year QB...I bet nobody wants him cut.

For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
I certainly don't want him cut... but do believe we need a Vet signed with Losman leaving & maybe one drafted, in case Edwards has a pattern of inconsistent play or injuries.
He is holding the ball too long on many plays and just locking on to his primary, allowing defenders to jump his passes. He's also bounced a lot of balls this year.
Always cover yourself at QB. Just ask Jon Gruden.
Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit
Holding on to the ball instead of running with it when the OL breaks down was instilled by Fairchild and continued by Turk. When both JP and Trent use theiir legs something better than getting sacked happens.
The reality is that Edwards has made mistakes but expecting a 2nd year player to be perfect on a team that isn't very good is a joke.
Let's talk about the issues:
1) Peters struggling early and edwards still won us games.
2) How many games were we missing Butler?
3) How many games without Josh Reed?
4) How many games did Lynch struggle to run the ball?
The team is not good and if you really think that throwing to Parrish, Royal, Hardy, Johnson, and "concrete hands" Lynch is helping our young QB than you don't know football.
It would be interesting to see what a QB who has had success could do for Trent. He's surrounded by a bunch who haven't even smelled it.
Van Pelt, JP, Schonert...
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
So we're going to hold onto him and give him two more years to develop, only to find out he doesn't pan out and we've wasted 4-5 seasons, just like we did with Todd Collins, Rob Johnson, JP Losman.....
We might as well keep doing the same thing. It's working so well!

It's been the MO for all of our recent QB's including Bledsoe. That makes me think it's primarily a problem with the system rather than the players, necessarily.
