It's about time, but now we have to hope Ruff doesn't pull one of his bone head moves and put him on the 3rd or 4th line. Play the kid with our offensive players and let him flourish. Don't be stupid and put him with the grinders.

I doubt it...he's small, but he isn't a fragile player. I'm sure he could kick a lot of bigger player's asses. He needs to be with skilled players...PERIOD!

why send down mancari, to play one of the bums? i am glad gerbe is up but like mentioned earlier this team needs a shake up, so bench some more vets like paille, stafford, max, mair who provide very little right now

It's also a bit of a numbers move. WGR Sabres reporter Paul Hamilton says that Mark Mancari has to be sent down before reaching a benchmark in consecutive games that would force the Sabres to either keep him for the year, or send him through waivers again. In effect, the Sabres are flip-flopping Gerbe with Mancari.

He is right. I heard that too.

There is a maximum number of games or days he can stay up here w/o needing to be re-exposed to waivers.
