:ill:

sorry, I'm a traditionalist...nobody gets to wear a number over 35 unless they are a superstar and skaters must wear between 2-29.

well yeah. peters wears 76. I think the whole traditionalist thing went out the window when he wore that jersey for the first time.

Numbers not in use (or assigned) by the Sabres: (3. 4 and 8 are all assigned) 13, 15, 17, 23, 24...I'll even go with 31, 32, 33 or 34...but 42? ugh.

I say we go back to the days without face masks for goalies. Hell- let's tape phone books to their legs and call them goalie pads!

Bring back chicken wire instead of glass too! Make them travel by train!

I loved Eddie Shore. Living in Springfield all those years, I watched Eddie's old AHL team, the Springfield Indians.

Back in the 1920's- he used to play for the Bruins, then hop a train and travel 90 miles west and play for the team he owned, the Indians. He would do this every weekend.

The reason he's wearing #42 is because he is the answer.
