John Clayton says Cowher won't coach Browns

On espn radio this morning, Clayton says that despite reports that say Cleveland is the destination for Cowher, he will not go there. He does not want to get wrapped up in that Pittsburg- Cleveland rivalry.

Instead the Browns will go after Marty Shottenhiemer, if Crennel is fired.

Cowher says he expects an 8mill offer from the Browns but wouldnt take it due to the reason above.

8 mill is probably for the standard 3 years, we dont have the nuts to spend that kind of money on a coach.

Umm, I think you're confused. That's 10 million A YEAR...not total. There is no such thing as signing bonus' for HC. Not saying it will never happen, but it's never been done...to my knowledge.

I owuld be shocked if Ralph ponied up for Cowher. Ralph is not interested in winning if it costs him a profit.
