So why on earth do they keep doing it?
Defering always screws them over

Re: Defering always screws them over
I hate deferring! Sure it works for the good teams, but it seems like almost every time we defer, our defense gives up a long drive, giving us ****ty field position or even giving up a TD to start the game. I want the ball! Just like Kelly and the 90s Bills...ask Marv...."We want the ball!" I understand the basis for deferring, but that's if you can trust your defense to force a quick 3 and out. We can't. I don't trust our defense one bit to do that!

We do it because everyone else does it. Slavishly following the pack is not always the right solution.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Re: Defering always screws them over
defering in a dome isn't the worst of all worlds. if he defered and lost the wind in a december game, i'd have been more upset.
but let's be honest this offense isn't scoring points on it's opening drive. i think they've only done it once all year.

Re: Defering always screws them over
What is the point of deferring anyways.
The team has all week to prepare for their opening drive. Try to get the crowd going ( whether it be in Toronto or not ) and PLAY THE EFFING GAME!
Like mentionned prior, its in a DOME, it doesnt matter!
