Having helped his chances to win a second Heisman Trophy during Florida's SEC championship game victory, Tim Tebow is giving indications he'll quarterback the Gators one more year rather than enter the NFL draft.

"I’m not even thinking (about the NFL) right now,” Tebow told reporters yesterday after it was made official that Florida will meet Oklahoma in the BCS championship.

Tebow said he ultimately will decide after the BCS game, but added that, "But if I had to say I was leaning any way, it would be to coming back.”

Tebow also indicated to the Gainesville Sun that he hasn't sent in the paperwork that initiates the process of having the NFL tell him what his status likely would be in the draft.

McCoy said the same... looks like there will be some familiar QBs in the NCAA next season

Much like McCoy he is a guy who cares about family and fun rather than money and the national spotlight. He might not be much of an NFL QB but I'll gladly cheer for him once he does get drafted.

Good, he may go down as the most overrated prospect ever, I think hes going to be a horrible NFL QB.

Over the last 15 to 20 years, or so, the vast majority of the top quarterbacks in the NFL played college ball until they were seniors. Just look at the current stats. For this reason, I can't blame Tebow and McCoy. Tebow will have a huge adjustment once he gets to the NFL and has to give up the spread offense and needs to go directly behind center.

Most of the top juniors to leave early were busts or very average. Two best, currently, are Big Ben (who was in college for 4 years, but redshirted) and Aaron Rodgers (who got to sit 3 full yrs. behind Favre)....Vick was okay, so was Bledsoe, until he got injured and Brady replaced him. But, again, a lot of busts or players that look like they could be busts -- Leaf, Vince Young, Alex Smith, Jamarcus, Tim Couch, ect....

Tebow and McCoy are going to be 2 very good QB's in the NFL, I'm impressed with Tebow's athleticism (reminds me of a Big Ben) and I'm impressed with McCoy's leadership, smarts and maturity.

Tebow and McCoy
No earlier than round two, I'd venture to say that McCoy may have been taken in the mid-late second round and as late as the third. Tebow on the other hand may not have gone until 4 or later, he is looked upon by many in the scouting world as a project that would take a few years to blossom and may even be a candidate for a position change once in the NFL, maybe a TE, maybe a WR, something in that area.

Tebow and McCoy

McCoy Rd 2-3, Tebow 3-4

Tebow is probably best suited to be a FB in the NFL. He won't do that though. He'll try the NFL out, struggle and eventually retire and do missionary work.

6'4 FB? I don't know about that. From what I'm hearing teams are willing to give him a chance to be a QB but he's going to have to learn another position as well if he plans on staying on a team because most feel his "natural" position would be TE. He no doubt has the size and the ball skills, but thankfully we won't have to find out for another year, he's doing what every player should do and is returning for his senior year, as is McCoy

There is not much to rule over here in Columbus but Craig Krenzal seems to live a pretty good life being a spokesperson for various car dealer ships. Signing autographs at various places and continues to go to med school at OSU.

Point is Bling he will be treated like a king in gaysville no matter what happens to him in the NFL. If he bombs in the NFL nobody will care because of what he did during his college career.

What are you smoking?????
I am probably the biggest TEBOW fan on this site and I know he has alot of work to do before he enters the draft.......If he came out just because of leadership, and athleticism, he would be a top 10 pick....McCoy probably late 1st round......

Neither compares to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando. Even Tampa. But there's no argument that Tallahassee is better than Gainesville. Gainesville looks like crap.

As for the swamp being more exciting, I can't argue that. Somehow though, I think you're a little bias. Just a tad.

Tebow is not a much better prospect as a QB and will have to make the same position switch. Problem is that Tebow doesn't possess the same top end speed that Jones did coming out of Arkansas.

He's already said that he's returning for his senior year, as is McCoy. Both of them need it if they plan on going before the third round. Because as it stands neither is much of a serious prospect, though McCoy is far more prepared as a QB.

I thought Tebow said he would make his decision after the NC game and that win or loose it would have no effect on his decision. Or did he go ahead and make up his mind already?

No matter get ready for Jordan Jefferson from LSU he is going to be a tough QB.

Far superior? Once again, I got to say: I doubt you've been to both. Either that, or well, you're a closet Gator fan. All rankings have Ben Hill Griffin ahead, but Doak Campbell closely trailing behind. I've been inside of Ben Hill Griffin, and I will admit it seems to have a big atmosphere. I won't deny it probably gets loud in the Swamp, and I won't argue that Doak Campbell is better. I will say though that the two of you need a reality check for even implying that the Swamp is in a whole different league.

FSU was in 2004. I want to say it was against UNC.

Florida was in 2002 vs. Miami (FL) and Miami beat the ever living dog **** out of them.

Have lot's of friends in Florida. I'm hoping to go back sometime in the near future, I'd like to go see a game @ Miami University this time though. I figure I'll go see one when I go to Miami to see the Dolphins play.

I remember that game. That was the one where Frank Gore got hurt, right? UF sucked back then. Amazing what recruiting and a great coach can do.

I honestly don't recall who FSU played. I just remember it wasn't anything to get excited about. I'll have to look around for my ticket stub.

And I believe it was Portis that got hurt, and McGahee took over for him. I honestly don't remember the specifics, I've seen far too many games since then to remember every detail.
