Honestly, I'd be all for them putting him on waivers. He will most likely clear and I'd rather just cut him loose now. If they are letting him walk in the off-season (which they most likely are), they might as well cut their losses now and let the others play who will be on the team for the forseeable future.Originally posted by BlackMetalNinja -

I think if the Sabres were presented with an acceptable deal, they would take it. I just don't think at this point, with free agency coming up, that anyone is willing to give anything up for the guy. Maybe a few years ago they were in love with him and wouldn't trade him, but I think now they would dump him in a heartbeat for the right deal.Comment
