    Ralphy on the Jauron situation...

...has never stated that Dickey is indeed coming back. Some people believe that he just won't make a change, but by Ralphy not coming out and stating Dickey is safe makes me suspect that there is a good chance Jauron is gone after the season. If Ralph believes something, he ALWAYS opens his mouth and let's everybody know. Him not being willing to say that Dick will be back next year speaks volumes.

I'm still hopeful that we will have a new HC in here very soon!

I agree with you. If he was certain he was keeping him he would say so probably. If he was certain he was going to can him he wouldn't say anything.

I honestly think we're putting too much thought into this.

It's this simple: Jauron's contract is up. There is no new contract, as previously reported. Ralph has to give a new contract to a coach this off-season, whether it's Jauron or someone else. He doesn't technically have to fire Jauron- just refuse to offer him a new contract.

At this point, the fan base (and apparently the team, IMO) has given up on Jauron. Re-signing him would be a public relations disaster.

The obvious solution: Jauron won't be "fired" per se- Ralph will just wait it out this season and hire someone else in the off-season.

I don't think there is ANY chance of Jauron returning.

I've been saying it for a while and Op nailed it. There is no need to fire Dick. Just let him finish out the season and everyone can go their seperate ways. It's the same thing that happened with Gregg Williams.
