I really have no problem with this. My guess is that they knew Schobel would be out for a few months, but figured that he would be back in time for the playoffs (which we all thought we were going to 1-2 months ago). Now, we're not going to the playoffs, so what difference does it make?

a month ago we actually had a shot at the playoffs though.... now there is no way in hell that we're going anywhere other than the golf course in florida.

coaching staff is a joke!

you don't make a decision like that based on thinking your going to the playoffs a quarter of the way into the season!!!!!!!!

Why not? If he was put on IR a week after his injury and was healthy enough to play by playoff time, then we'd be talking about how stupid the coaching staff is for putting our best DE on IR. But, it doesn't really matter since we didn't make the playoffs.
