View Full Version : Why coaching is the main to blame

Lets see, benching our 2nd round pick after 1 drop early in the game? Having our 6-7 2nd round pick in the game on a goaline play and throwing it to a 5-10 in a jump ball situation. Letting a QB who doesnt want to be hear play but not his replacement. Not playing our 3rd round pick untill the 5th game and then putting him on IR in week 11. Putting our leading tackler that had a 4-5 week injury and putting him on IR and letting a player with a 8 week injury stay active? Losing a starter and putting a PS player on the team. Calling cover 2 D in the final minute. Throwing a screen to the RB on 4th and 11.

These are all reasons why our coaching sucks, not to mention the non charisma and motivation that our coaches show. Lindell shows more emotion than our HC.

So basically, you think our coaches suck? I agree, as well as our entire front office, our O-ine, WRs, LBs, and Safeties.

LBs are fine, if you watched the game sunday you would see that we have very good Safties, our OL is average, and our WRs are defintley not a problem.

I agree with a lot of this, but you are putting too much faith in rookies.

Very good Safeties? Whitner is way overrated on the field. Simpson? LOL

WRs not a problem? Who again is our #2 receiver? Josh Reed, Roscoe Parish? It's certainly not the rookies James Hardy or Steve Johnson. And if you want to be honest, Lee Evans is the perfect compliment to a WR such as TO, Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, or TJ Houshmanzahda... not the other way around.

Ok, Simpson doesnt even start. Scott starts and showed why last week, Reed has been our best reciever in the games he plays in. He averages around 6 catches for 60 yards. Hes not a top 20 NFL reciever but is a top number 2 reciever.

The main Bills problem is at QB.

this thread speaks volumes about the impact a lack of knowledge has on beleifs about ones sports team. For example:

Fact: the coaching staff called the formation that put Hardy on one side and Evans on the the other and the suggested play was the fade pass. It's a fact that JP Lossman made the choice to throw it to LE side of the field. Yet the fans want to say how this is bad playcalling because the ball was thrown to LE.

Fact: we don't know if Hamden will be here next year. As crappy as he is, there is a good chance that JP give us a better chance to win the game. The coaches want to win so they start JP but that is bad coaching because you don't know how Hamden will do and you want to see. Well, the coaches know they have been to practice.

Fact: you don't know when someone came off the field why.

Fact: a screen on 4th and 11 is sometimes a sucessful play. The defense is protecting the first down marker. This way you get the ball into the hands of your best runner who has designed blocking to attack that first down marker. When it works, you are going to say it's a great play call & when it doesn't you make it an excuse for bad coaching. 4th and 11 is a low percentage play & it will always be low percentage. So no matter what happens chances are it's another excuse for bad coaching.

Fact: you see the players playing. You identify and idolize the players. You have no clue what the coaches are doing...so it must be the coaching as if you admit the players are playing bad you admit your own defeat.
