    Answer to our Center

We could go the wastefull expensive route or use what we have already. Well Chambers played RG a few times this year and did very well. Butler is a C/G so why not put Butler at center and Chambers at RG.

LT- Peters, LG- Doc, C- Butler, RG- Chambers, RT- Walker.

We get the player who shut down Kerney and played against a strong Miami DL last week and a up and comming C both on the line.

a real tall C is usually not the norm. A tall center can't get low enough and can be pushed back... C's are usually in the lower 6 foot + area.

      Butler is 6' 7"

We'd be better serve with a proven C which this team has lacked since Hull

6'3 - 6'4 seems to be the typical height for centers. It's important that they can get low but at the same time they can't be little stubs.

Umm, how about we actually address the problem and get somebody from outside the organization who is actually GOOD at playing Center? Just a thought.

Why would we simply shuffle around the pieces?

We need true upgrades, just that simple. We need significant upgrades.

To me, thats not guys that are already on our team, and it isnt the next Melvin Fowler signing either. To me thats players who are noted for being among the best in the league (like Kreutz) or who look to be one of the best to come out in several years (like Mangold). That ISNT second tier guys and it ISNT usually late round picks.

generally its not easy to just say, ya, hes a lineman, lets just move him. I know its possible, just not as simple as it seems.

I thought Butler played G/C in college.

I think Butler played right tackle at Virginia, while D'Brickashaw Ferguson was the LT.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Just leave Duke Preston at center.
I thought it was impressive last week vs Miami when he literally almost stuck the ball up his own ass on that one snap.

lol at message board experts espousing a pro football player inability to do something on the field, because he's the wrong height. :)
