Green Bay may be one of the few front offices dumber than the Bills.

Was it worth pushing Favre out the door? Two years of playing around with him and wanting to move on. One drive from the SB in 2007 to an also ran in 2008. Did it get you want you wanted? You deservre your 5-9 season.

Is Rodgers the problem in their fall from glory?

Not really but Favre would have had that team in a better place.

        I highly doubt that.

Aaron Rodgers is having a better season than Favre so far. Other than his game against the Cardinals Favre has been very pedestrian. The packers are probably the same if not worse with Favre this year, would have wasted yet another year and maybe even lost Rodgers. Oh ya and they made out like bandits because they got extra picks for Favre also

Sorry, but I disagree. It was obvious that Favre didn't want to be there anymore. He did everything possible to get himself out of there. The Packers knew that if they didn't start the Aaron Rodgers era, they would lose him and never know what they really had. It was time and frankly, I feel he has had a better season so far. The reason why the Packers aren't in the playoffs this year is because their defense has been awful for some reason.

Yeah, not really... Ted Thompson is one of the smartest, best drafting S.O.B.'s you'll find in all of sports.

Green Bay has been in every game this season so far. They just find a way to lose it at the end of every game. It is not unlike the Bills, except Rodgers is a 100 times better QB than Losman. They could use some OL help but overall it's a solid team better than its records suggests.

How many Green Bay games have you watched this year?

Green Bay's defense has let them down as much as anything this year, they get pushed around up front. Rodgers has had a good season and is a promising young QB they can build around. He is certainly a better player than Favre at this point, and I doubt Brett would have made much difference on that team.

They have also been plagued by injuries up front and lost some key players in the off-season. They will be in full re-build mode going into the off-season, but you and I both know it won't take them long to get back to the top, especially in that horrible division.

That front office is known for doing what most on here want the Bills to do - trade down multiple times. That has resulted in the players they have on the team. After 4 years of having Favre jerk them around, they moved on and got their starter (Rodgers) who hasn't been the reason they've had such a fall btw ready. Brett got whiny and wanted to come back.

People had their knickers in a twist when Willis would skip OTAs and then just try and play. What if he skipped everything but a week and a half or so of training camp and tried to play? That's bad, but imagine your QB doing that...your supposed savior.

Neither side was 100% right, but only with the gift of 20/20 hindsight can you call out an organization that has done right by their QB and a darn good job overall.

If you want to blame them for their players getting injured or worrying that a DT would stop producing once he got paid (Corey Williams, who they traded to Cleve) that's fine - but not for trading Favre.

Green Bay would be no better off with Favre. The primary reason for their downfall was the loss of DE Cullen Jenkins, probably their best player. Without him the defense was not good at all, ranking 24th in points allowed and 22nd in yards allowed.

For those that would point to the Jets improvement, the biggest reason for that was the addition of Kris Jenkins. The team would have been just as good with Chad Pennington as they were with Favre.

A third consideration is that this year's schedule included the NFC South and AFC South, two good divisions. Last year they got most of the NFC East teams early and came away with wins before those teams jelled, and also played the AFC West (who had only one good team.) Their final two games last year were against the Rams and Panthers, neither of whom were very good in '07.

Favre was not good this year.
