RUMORS:
N.F.L. sources have told someone we really trust that they "currently believe" the following underclassmen are leaning heavily towards declaring for 2009 N.F.L. draft: Clemson tailback C.J. Spiller; University of Alabama left tackle Andre Smith; Kansas State University quarterback Josh Freeman; University of Iowa tailback Shonn Greene; University of Florida wide receiver Percy Harvin; University of Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes; University of Florida defensive end Jermaine Cunningham; Florida State University defensive end Everette Brown; University of Tennessee linebacker Rico McCoy; University of Illinois cornerback Vontae Davis; University of Tennessee defensive tackle Dan Williams; University of Southern California safety Taylor Mays; Auburn University defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks... as well as safety Emanuel Cook, cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and tight end Jared Cook from the University of South Carolina ***

***For the moment I will list those listed above in italics until they become confirmed. This is from DD.com, who is a highly trusted source.

As of today, ESPN's "bottom line" scrooled the info that Vontae Davis is coming out. I have no direct link to confirm or deny the report, sorry!

Brandon Spikes-LB-Florida

Thank God! I bet Spiller regrets not going to FSU too. Clemson sucks. And thank God no more Percy Harvin or Brandon Spikes. Hopefully Tebow follows. I know UF is reloading, but it'll buy FSU enough time to show their muscles and catch up in recruiting.

Everette Brown-DE-FSU
Huge loss. We reloaded extremely well along the DL, including 5 star JUCO transfer Markus White but he's been the best DE at FSU since Jamal Reynolds. He's going to be sorely missed.

I love going back through Rivals prospects and seeing who was suppose to be good. Look at the busts and the pros. What a great job they did. Beanie Wells, Brandon Spikes, Percy Harvin, Myron Rolle, Andre Smith, Matthew Stafford.

Thank God! I bet Spiller regrets not going to FSU too. Clemson sucks. And thank God no more Percy Harvin or Brandon Spikes. Hopefully Tebow follows. I know UF is reloading, but it'll buy FSU enough time to show their muscles and catch up in recruiting.

Huge loss. We reloaded extremely well along the DL, including 5 star JUCO transfer Markus White but he's been the best DE at FSU since Jamal Reynolds. He's going to be sorely missed.

None of those guys are yet confirmed, they still may not declare. Spiller would regret not going to UF (where he almost transferred to after his Freshman year) over passing on FSU.

I knew that, but his second pick on signing day was Florida State, which was a complete shock to analyst. And transferring to Florida would have somewhat been a waste. He'd have lost a year of eligibility, but yes, he'd be smart to pick Florida over Florida State.

Not a waste, the mother of his 1st or second child lives in Gainesville or did, which why he was considering transferring I believe.

Right. His High School was also really close to Gainesville. He did grow up a Florida State fan though, which if you ask me, would've been hard to deny. At the time though, I'm sure he felt he wasn't going to get time with 5 star recruit Antone Smith coming in. Little did he know he was the better of the two. :ill:

A reliable souce has informed us that North Carolina wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will declare for next April's draft.

DD.comment: That's not unexpected, as we've been reporting he's been leaning that way for a while. Our source says Hakeem only runs in the 4.50's and is not real tall, but he's strong and physically gifted. He would put a 2nd round projection on him, right now, but that could change at the 2009 Combine.

I think he is really young and inexperienced, isn't this his first full season as the starting QB in OU? If I were him, I would stay in school for another 2-3 years perhaps. Nothing on Spikes yet?

Spikes and Harvin will announce in GAINESVILLE today.....

Flip a coin on this 1 I think Tim Tebow is talking them into staying.....
This could be the best FL team ever if they both stay as well.....

Interesting choice by Spiller. I guess he wants to finally be the featured back.

It has been in a number of the declaration articles as well...

Here's the NFL's official List, which came out an hour ago - now we can know if we're missing anyone!

Note: Kruger is not on the list, as he is a special exemption as he graduated prior to 2005 as per his agent. That may also explain Collie, McRath and Baker not being on as well.

46 total came out. Not bad, but not the exodus many had called. But, all in all a solid crop.
