money not withstanding, what do you think of holmgren as a possible GM and player evaluator.

so again, no comments on "he'll never come." I just want your take on what you think of his as a personel evaluator and GM.

If he wants to be a Bill Parcells type guy and run our team, basically build it over again...i'd do it in a heartbeat!

he did well with seattle, but seemed stretched thin to bring it all together.

i wouldnt mind him heading our draft. but remember, this season he got out coached by jauron. so that's a huge negative.

How did he get out coached? He just didn't have a very good team at the start of the season. We were injury free.

That's why I would only bring him in to build the team. He picks the coach and a GM. He builds the team.

YOu guys have very little faith in Ralph. He'll screw up the relationship somehow.

the broadcast made it seem like holmgren was getting pressure from his wife to give up coaching, but that he is very interested in staying in a parcells gig, where it's not quite as time intensive.

You put in a lot of hours, but you come home at night. coaching requires travel and lots of the weekend missing from your family.

With all the cowher talk, i think this is actually much more interesting.

Ive never been a big Holmgren fan talent eval wise. This guy has been ok in Seattle but he's flourished off a relatively weak division. I think he's a very good coach but Im not sold on his GM wise.

see i could totally see that being the case with the weak divison. But i do think perhaps he was stretched too thin. The GM/coach only works for so long. I hope if he's just a GM, that he picks a coach that he has good repoire with and who has a good eye for talent.

No he actually may...and it would be a great fit....hasselebeck can come with him....he like building from the lines out.....

Why does Seattle stink so bad now, if Holmgren is so great ?

Why does Seattle stink so bad now, if Holmgren is so great ?

lots of reasons, but I think it's worth mentioning that he was a lame duck coach for a team with injury concerns and ineffective lines. Things kind of fell apart for them.

I dont think Holmgren doubles as Seattle's GM.
